After finishing the HSC, my career turned towards Graphic Design. A career spanning 17 years, the last 10 running my own business,Targa Design - a graphic design business creating unique design for print. One of Targa Designs, major clients is in the travel industry allowing me extensive travel and photography. This has been a constant source of inspiration for my passion of fine art.
Opportunity arose in 2001 to study at the Sydney Gallery School. Through exposure to all areas of fine arts and being inspired by teachers and fellow students alike, I was stimulated to push the boundaries to create new and exciting works.
Seeking inspiration from nature has always been a starting point for my work. That which invites the viewer to seek out the mystery and beauty of the environment and to take a closer look at the world we live in. The images are often veiled in dripping paint or ink or erratic lines to create a multitude of paths, ideas and movement to evoke interest, in the web of creative development.
As an artist I am interested in the point at which you stop seeing an object letting spontaneity take over. The works are a narrative through the visual elements of design and composition and exposure of extensive mediums.
